Since crafting is apparently on my mind this week…I am just going to go with it and give you some handy crafting tips and reminders. I think you will enjoy them [maybe even chuckle a bit].
1. Hot glue is…well, HOT!
2. Use copper pipe insulation from Lowe’s for wreaths - Duck Tape to secure!
3. Using a rotary cutter to cut fabric saves boat loads of time!
4. Tulle wreaths take 2.5+ rolls of tulle!
5. Always buy more supplies than suggested…you will need it!
6. Acorns produce maggots if left to sit in a Zip Lock bag for 3+ days… eww!
7. Felting is way fun with this tutorial!
8. Keep your hubby handy - you will need him sooner or later!
9. Put your puppy in its kennel - or plan on doing your project more than once!
10. Glitter spray paint gets… EVERYWHERE! Ha!
Love, Modern Core
Crafting Galore.
The holidays are coming and to me, that means crafting! Decorating is one of my favorite things to do and I am here to share my upcoming craftiness with you…aren’t you so excited?!? Posted above are some of the crafty pictures I have been snapping along the way! Enjoy and cheers to the fall season and weather ahead - I can’t wait!
Thanks for following along…even though my consistency is a BIG FAT FAIL!
[P.S. - check out pinterest for more projects I am currently working on!]
DIY: Refrigerator Pictures
Today’s DIY is very simple, but is needed by many. The pictures that gather on your fridge can quickly get out of hand and be rather overwhelming. This DIY simply took string, heavy magnets [for holding the string] and mini clothespins. It’s really that simple…arrange to your liking and your done.

Spaces: Laura Coggins
My sisters newly remodeled office space [which doubles as a nursery and her closet too] is looking absolutely fabulous! She has a knack for making every space look so neat and personalized. Her space was featured here, yesterday and I couldn’t help but post a few images on my blog too… I don’t think she will mind at all. Enjoy!
Before and After
This past weekend was spent organizing a large portion of one of my client’s homes. She lives near St. Louis, MO so cramming it into one weekend was almost a must! The weekend consisted of two 4:30am nights, three closets, a laundry room, desk, kitchen and bedroom. Above are some pictures from the closet project that we completed…look for more pictures to follow in another post - or two! Enjoy.
DIY: Coffee Sleeve
Today’s Do It Yourself will add a little something to your coffee cup! It is a simple project and I used supplies that I already had at home - which make for a cheap DIY! I got this idea on Pinterest, when I was browsing for something to make for one of my friend’s birthdays… I hope she likes it! Check out the pictures for the DIY details - it is pretty self-explanatory. Let me know if you need help! Enjoy!
Since summer is apparently coming sooner than normal… I have been trying to figure out what I want to do with our backyard. Last summer we burnt our old wicker furniture, so needless to say we need something new! When I saw these mint green Adirondack chairs I fell head over heals in love! I went straight to Buchheit and snatched up two large ones - not ready for the mini-me one yet. Everything else is in the works but you can kind of get the idea! Enjoy!
